Wow, is it Sunday already? This break has come and gone so quickly. I almost can't believe that it was Wednesday that I was trying to finish up my paper so that I could get home and start the break. Now it's Sunday and school awaits for me tomorrow, yet again. But I can't say that I haven't had a really great Thanksgiving break. Even though I didn't have  any BIG Thanksgiving event, it was marked with a lot of small interpersonal time with people.

Realistically, my break really didn't start until Friday afternoon. I had to go back in to work Friday morning and I ended up staying there finishing things up with my Prof until about 2 o'clock. I came home and just relaxed for a few hours. Then I had a great opportunity to grab coffee with Tiffany who was back from college for break. That time alone completely made up for the fact that I had to work over Thanksgiving break. We just caught up over the last couple of months, talking about the latest happenings in our life. I was very thrilled to have spent time with her, especially since the break was so short for her.

Later that evening, Ricky and I went down to the Drag to play arcades. Honestly, I felt like I hadn't played arcades in such a long time. In retrospect, it might have been slightly out of place for two guys in their mid-twenties to be at a place like Le Fun or Einstein's, but whatever. We relocated to Kerbey Lane around 10:30 after playing for a while. Though Ricky had had dinner that night, I hadn't really eaten and so I was famished even though I didn't want to spend money on food. We just ordered the Kerbey Queso and went at it. We began talking and eating, and after a few hours, we were no longer eating, but we continued talking. Our conversation went on until the early hours when one of us realized, "oh, it's past 1 o'clock in the morning". At that point we called it a night and headed home. At this point you're probably wondering what two guys could possibly have to talk about that lasted 3 hours? Well, for one thing, it wasn't about electronics. That kind of topic can only last 1 hour at most:) Our conversation centered upon the work of God in our lives, sharing about His lessons and grace evident in various aspects of life. It was pretty cool to say the least.

those times with friends are the best. when you talk and talk and talk and don't realize where the time went. i cherish those moments b/c they are few and far between post college.
