I went to an EV Free community group for the second time tonight. The first time I went was about a month ago. There are a variety of reason why I hadn't gone to community group the past weeks in betwen, one of which was because I had thrown away the little invite card with the map on how to get to the place. Oops. Anyways, I went tonight and it was guuuuuuud. The topic was on JOY and it really convicted me to look beyond my "issues" and focus on the God who brings joy in every circumstance. Even Paul says to "rejoice always", and I realize that I need to do that.

It was just good to be surrounded by a bunch of believers in a small setting like this. It's been a while since I've been to small group regularly and it was very encouraging to be around Christians who are living life for God's glory. Hearing their struggles, their desires, their passions. Good stuff. I plan on making it next week as well.

Also, I was able to get some good, interesting results today for my research. I think for the most part I can finally come to a stopping point and focus completely on writing up this manuscript for a journal submission. For those who aren't in the research world, one of the most important things in doing research is getting published. That way others can read about what you're doing and as a researcher you can get recognized. I guess it's the nerdy equivalent of making a summer blockbuster movie, or something cool like that.

Oh yeah, one more thing... I had an interview last week with MIT Lincoln Labs in Boston. AND there's a possibility that I could get an interview and job with Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Labs in Laurel, MD. East Coast here I come!

Well, maybe.
