One of the two previous blog entries I made before I reloaded the website was about the book that I am currently reading. "Future Grace" by John Piper has been very beneficial to me in seeing the legalism that is present in my life.

Piper talks about how many of us live with the incorrect mindset that in response to God's grace in our life, we end up feeling like we need to "repay" God back by our good works. In doing so, we cheapen grace by turning it from a free gift, to a debt on our behalf. Rather, scripture says that we should honor God in return by trusting him even more for future grace (hence the title). Through faith, our good works comes about, not the other way around.
