Yesterday afternoon, my dad and I drove to Lafayette to bring my relatives back to Austin. It was almost a spur of the moment thing as I was at school (yes, on labor day) and my dad called to see if I could accompany him to Louisiana. I rushed home and we pretty much left immediately.

Less than 24 hours later, we're back in Austin. On the way there and back we saw many military vehicles, ambulances and trailers hauling supplies and people towards New Orleans and probably Mississippi. But in the end, everyone is safe and sound. This means I can get back to normal life and stop being a superhero for the time being. Time to hang up the cape and put my glasses back on.
