For the Christmas break, I was at home for a few days while the rest of the fam was visiting in Houston. The first two days I played video games, I went to the Ginger Man twice. I went to the movies with another friend who was a bachelor for the weekend. I went to bed late. I woke up and went on a bike ride. It was great.

But after a few days it got a little boring being at home by myself. Thankfully it was only a temporary thing. It makes me appreciate everything about having a family. The good times definitely outweigh the tough times. And even the tough times are learning opportunities. We usually laugh about them after the fact, although when we go through them they aren't too fun. I'm thankful to have someone to go through things with. I guess all of this to say that family is a good thing, even if it means I can't play as many video games on a regular basis.
